Daily horoscope for Scorpio Suns
Sun-sign dates: Oct 23 – Nov 21
Ruled by ♇ Pluto
For Scorpio · 17 October
A heavy, magnetic stillness settles over your world as the heavens invite you into a season of profound internal auditing. With Mercury and Venus both dancing through your native Scorpio, there is a potent magnetism at play, a depth of feeling that demands honesty over superficiality. However, the cosmic current is complicated by a chorus of retrograde movements—Mars in Leo, Saturn in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius are all stepping backward. This celestial pause is not a hindrance but a cosmic law in action, urging you to refine your will and revisit old patterns before leaping forward. In your professional life, the Moon in Capricorn provides a grounding, disciplined structure, yet the retrograde energy of Mars in Leo suggests that true success now comes from tempering pride with patience. Rather than forcing a result, look toward the ethical application of your power. In love, the presence of Venus in your sign enhances your intensity, but remember that astrology is a science of self-knowledge; use this magnetism to understand your own needs rather than to control the narrative of another. Your growth lies in recognizing that your "sphere" is unique, and the current tension is simply a tool for evolution. By observing these transits over your radix positions, you can transform friction into a catalyst for a more broadminded approach to your relationships. As you navigate this intricate web of retrograde energy, ask yourself: which part of my pride am I clinging to that actually prevents me from growing into a more authentic version of myself?
As to the technics, confine for the present to the calculations of the birth horoscope (p. 92) and those of the zodiacal progressions of Sun, Moon and Planets, (p. 155.) Moreover the daily course of the planets should be traced by their transits (p. 161) over the radix positions of the planets. The same holds good for the eclipses (p. 164) which fall on these radix positions.
I know one who shows the pure Leo-type, though he has Scorpio as ascendant and the Sun in Gemini. But the Moon is in Leo, on the cusp of the 10th house (M.C.). The glance only is purely that of Scorpio and the dignity and pride of Leo are accompanied by the magnetism of the Scorpio-type. The Sun in the Different other Houses 1). The Sun in 2nd, success in financial affairs, but if the Sun is ill aspected, prodigal. When strongly afflicted, always judge the opposite; ill-success in this case.
The Sun-directions are often brought to action by a suitable Moon-direction and the Moon-directions usually by a Lunation, or by a conformable Moon-aspect by transit. The latter is indicated through the day-horoscope, which is dealt with on p. 160. Example to illustrate the Planetary Influences. The following, taken from Sepharial and abbreviated, shows distinctly, how in everything the Cosmic law is working.
The moon, however, surpasses the fastest moving planet (Mercury). It does not only move with the earth once in a year round the sun, but has a revolution of its own r round the earth which takes only 28 days. When the planets are being treated, these velocities will be spoken of at greater length. There is also an apparent movement of the 12 signs of the Zodiac as well as of the planets and the moon to know, the movement caused by the revolution of the earth round its axis in 24 hours.
This Week
The heavens currently hum with a heavy, introspective magnetism, pulling your focus inward as the cosmic tide retreats. With Mercury and Venus both residing in your sign of Scorpio, there is a profound invitation to explore the depths of your own nature. This is not a time for superficiality, but for the kind of earnest seeking that transforms astrology from a mere curiosity into a science of self-knowledge. You may feel a potent blend of intensity and desire, yet the presence of Mars and Jupiter in Leo—both currently in retrograde—suggests that the outward expression of your will is meeting a necessary pause. Rather than pushing against the current, consider this a moment to refine your internal dignity. In your professional life, the Moon’s presence in Capricorn brings a grounding, disciplined energy to your ambitions. While you may feel the urge to command, the retrograde motion of Mars and Jupiter reminds us that the "Cosmic law" often works through cycles of reflection before action. If you encounter delays in your career, view them not as obstacles, but as opportunities to ensure your goals are aligned with your highest ethical purpose. In love, the proximity of Venus in Scorpio heightens your magnetism, but the retrograde planets suggest a time for reviewing past patterns. True growth comes from understanding the symbols of your life and recognizing that different spheres of experience require different versions of ourselves. As you navigate these energies, remember that the movements of the planets are mirrors reflecting your own internal evolution. The retrograde positions of Saturn in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius invite you to dismantle old structures of the ego to make room for a more authentic existence. By observing these transits over your radix positions, you can begin to see the patterns of your life not as fixed destinies, but as a map for conscious evolution. As you feel the pull between your deep Scorpio intensity and the retrograde stillness of the fire signs, ask yourself: Which part of my pride am I being asked to release so that my true strength can emerge?
